Fewer REO foreclosure listings available in Deltona

REO foreclosure listings have accounted for more than half of the sales reported in Deltona from January 1-July 31st of this year. The reports I have found indicate 916 homes sold during this period in Deltona with 467 of these homes being listed as REO foreclosure homes.
Buyers could face intense competition for an REO foreclosure home they are interested in purchasing throughout the rest of the year with the active inventory as of August 9 reporting only 54 REO foreclosure listings available out of the 554 active homes being reported for sale.
Traditional homes (sellers with equity) and short sale listings account for nearly an equal share of the active inventory with 242 and 258 respectively as of today.
